Download the application from the download page and extract to a directory of your choice (important : keep folder names !). For updates, you may remove the old jtrade*.jar and the complete lib directory before, but that is not required. (Do NOT delete the data directory !). Start the program by executing javaw -jar jtrade*.jar where * stands for the current version contained in the zip.
Java Runtime
You need a Sun Java Runtime 1.4.2. or higher. Sun Java 5.0 (1.5) runtime is recommended.
Support for Java 1.4.x may be removed in the next versions.
The Java runtime can be downloaded from sun at the SUN website :
Download JRE 5.0.
You can import your existing data via a .csv file. The csv file requires a special format, with special values in the columns. See help section of the application for details.
